The Australian Government has confirmed that the Australian Defence Force will be providing defensive military assistance to Gulf allies in response to Iranian missile and drone threats, while stating it does not intend to participate in offensive operations or a ground war. The most recent reports have 85 military personnel, a E-7A Wedgetail surveillance aircraft and medium-range air-to-air missiles.
