Join me for a special screening of the Stan Original documentary How to Poison a Planet at the Parliament House Theatre on Monday 24 June.
The documentary is a groundbreaking investigation into PFAS; the forever chemicals that have created an international health and environmental catastrophe. It tells the story of the devastating impacts these chemicals have had on contaminated communities - and their fight for justice.
How to Poison a Planet features award-winning actor Mark Ruffalo, our neighbours in the Wreck Bay Aboriginal community, journalist Carrie Fellner and the formidable US legal teams who are taking on a global chemical company.
You can watch the trailer on YouTube.
This event is for parliamentarians, but I’d love to open it up to the Canberra community, so please come join us. Registration is required, as places are limited. Please RSVP below as soon as possible to avoid missing out.
The runtime of the documentary is 90 mins and will be followed by a 30 min Q&A with Director Katrina Mcgowan, Sydney Morning Herald journalist Carrie Fellner and members of the Wreck Bay Aboriginal community.
Despite our best efforts, we weren’t able to tempt Mark Ruffalo to Canberra for the screening (sorry).
