Thank you!

I know the first thing on your mind will be: did we do it?

The counting continues, but the results so far are encouraging.

It could take weeks for the result to be officially declared, but stay tuned, as we’re already planning an event to bring the community back together to celebrate an amazing campaign and talk about next steps.

Thank you!

A truly big thank you to all of our 2,200 supporters and volunteers.

For voting, for handing out, for knocking on doors with Sarah - our door knocking evangelist, for letterboxing, for assembling and distributing corflutes. For delivering yard signs, for handing out fliers at supermarkets and community events, for having conversations with your family and your neighbours.

I also wanted to give a special thanks to the 730 people who helped across the ACT’s  polling booths on the weekend. It is a testament to the passion and commitment of our people-powered movement.

And of course, a big shout out to our Booth Captains. It was a huge job, and I know many of you worked for 13 hours or more putting up decorations, organising volunteers and handing out “how to vote” cards.

I am so proud of the campaign we ran, and so grateful to all of you.

Pics from Saturday

We have dropped photos from Election Day and from the after-party in a shared folder for everyone to access. There are some great shots there - take a look here.

If you see any signs around town…

Our incredible volunteer team has already scoured the ACT to remove our corflutes. On the off chance that you spot one on public land, please remove it as soon as possible and let us know via [email protected].

We have been overwhelmed with enquiries from Canberrans asking for our corflutes. From insulating houses, lining chicken coops and creating homes for bees. All of our corflutes will either be reused or recycled.

What's next

I’ll be in touch again as the counting continues. In the meantime, I hope you all have an opportunity to relax and get some rest.

Our campaign has already started to change politics in the ACT.

And we could be heading towards creating history - so thank YOU for the role you played and all you have done to make this possible.

Best,

Dave
