Come along to our August Town Hall in Tuggeranong to hear about progress on key priorities and talk to me about the issues that are important to you.
The town hall meetings are part of my commitment to doing politics differently and remaining open, accountable and accessible to our community.
Suburb Zero will offer a fundraising BBQ from 2.30pm before formal proceedings begin at 3pm.
The theme for this event is the cost-of-living crisis, which continues to worsen leaving many members of our community under constant financial, mental and emotional pressure.
I will be joined by the CEO of CHOICE, Alan Kirkland, to discuss what can be done to help support our community through this crisis.
CHOICE is Australia's national consumer organisation and Alan has been its CEO since 2012. Before joining CHOICE, Alan worked as CEO of Legal Aid NSW, Executive Director of the Australian Law Reform Commission and Executive Director of the NSW Council of Social Service. Alan also has a long background of involvement in Australian civil society organisations. He is currently a director of the Foundation for Young Australians.
A large portion of the event will be dedicated to audience Q&A. You are invited to submit your questions online via Slido here as well as from the floor on the day.
We also live stream these events on Zoom and from my Facebook page.
Look forward to seeing you there.
