Suburb Zero ACT Launch

April 21, 2023 at 5:30pm - 7:30pm
Manning Clark Theatre, Kambri Cultural Centre Australian National University

Suburb Zero is coming to the Australian Capital Territory!

Book your ticket for the launch.

The Suburb Zero consortium is developing a pilot project proposal in conjunction with a variety of stakeholders. Under the trial, an existing ACT suburb would be electrified. The yet-to-be-chosen Canberra suburb will have its own set of unique challenges and will ideally include multi-occupant dwellings, social housing and stand-alone residences.

The proposed trial will seek to test solutions to the social, technological, regulatory and economic challenges associated with rapid decarbonisation of existing housing and apartments. The trial would also seek to demonstrate full, retro-fitted, electrification of large, complex buildings, cold climate electrification and smart technology integration.

Join Independent Senator for the ACT, David Pocock, inventor and author Saul Griffith and a panel of local energy experts as we discuss this initiative and the ideas behind it.
