YWCA Canberra is hosting their seventh annual prom for LGBTQIA+ young people across Canberra and their allies.

Prom is one of our most popular events, and for good reason! This year, the theme is ‘Up in the stars’, and we have lots planned to make it a night to remember.

Come along for a fun and safe night where you can express your identity and be your authentic self in a judgement-free, inclusive environment. There will be delicious food, non-alcoholic drinks, a makeup artist, awards, DJ, drag performances, a photo booth to capture memories of the night.

DATE + TIME:  Friday 29 September 2023, 6pm – 10pm

LOCATION: Southern Cross Club, Woden   

COST: FREE for young people, this is made possible through generous donations and sponsorship

To ensure this event is completely free and accessible for young people, we are asking the community to help us by sponsoring a ticket!

The LGBTQIA+ & Allies Prom is an opportunity for young people aged 12 to 25 to experience a formal-style event and express their identity in a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment.

For many, this will be their first time to connect and enjoy themselves at a safe and inclusive event alongside their peers and community.

In previous years, through the incredible generosity of our community, we were able to ensure that all young people could attend the prom free of charge. We want to do this again!
