Unfortunately, there are currently no federal truth-in-political advertising laws. 

This means that the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) has no power to investigate or sanction political ads that contain false or misleading information.

Introducing federal truth-in-political advertising laws is a reform David strongly supports and will work towards as a priority if elected.
